Hi! If
you've gotten this far, then perhaps you wanna read a little
about me and my family, both human and animal. I'm 28 and
have just relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee from Baltimore,
Maryland, but I'm originally from Cleveland, Ohio. So I've
moved around a bit, but I'm pretty sure I've found my permanent
city. I graduated college with a degree in art and a minor
in Psychology. Lots of fun to learn about, but not very practical.
I spent a few years working in an art gallery, and then 5
or so years doing portrait photography travelling everywhere
from the Bronx to South Carolina. Needless to say, the travel
got a little old. Then I met a wonderful guy who was not
so crazy about the "city living" that came along with Baltimore,
my dad decided he'd had enough of the manufacturing business,
and my mom long since had enough of the Cleveland winters.
All of these events conspired to help me make the decision
to sell my house in Baltimore and use the money from that,
my dad's business savvy, my man's mechanic ability, and my
mom's advertising experience and go into business for ourselves.
We opened a scooter shop. Not old people scooters, or childrens
toys, but new big people scooters...you know, like little
motorcycles...this lets me constantly play with one of my
passions...vintage Vespas and Lambrettas.
My other passion? Animals. All kinds of 'em! I'm a freaky
animal person and always have been. Other than my Sphynx
kitties, I have one dog, a shepherd/dobe mix rescued from
the Baltimore SPCA, one old furry kitty I rescued from a barn
when I was 12, two ratties (one hairless, and his brother
who is haired), and one blind panther chameleon. Between
when I was little and now, I've had MANY different kinds of
animals...everything from giant millipedes to mice to horses.
I've been adopted by more stray cats than I can ever start
to count (it seems stray animals, especially when pregnant,
can smell a sucker miles away) and have found every one of
them (that I didn't keep) happy homes. In Baltimore, I had
my own little cat Harem with being responsible for 7 cats,
ranging in age from 10 weeks to 7 years, and all males. All
of them were neutered young and I never had a problem with
spraying or fighting. I did, however, have a major problem
with cathair!
